From Casablanca to Marrakech in 7 Days via the Desert

Day 1

Casablanca – Rabat

Our professional driver, who speaks your language, will meet you at Casablanca airport, your hotel or another agreed location. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit the Hassan II Mosque. Entry to the interior is optional and subject to official opening hours.

Afterwards, we will travel to Rabat. You will have free time to explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the medina. Entrance fees are not included. You will spend the night in a selected riad, with breakfast included. Dinner is at your own expense.

Day 2

Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we will travel to Meknes. Depending on the schedule, you will have free time to visit Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square, and the area surrounding the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

We will continue to the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. Entrance fees and a specialist guide are not included. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Fez, where you will spend the first of two nights in a selected riad. Breakfast is included; dinner is at your own expense.

Day 3

Fez – Guided City Tour

After breakfast, an official local English-speaking guide will accompany you on a tour of the Fez medina. The tour may include the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine, the souks, the tanneries, the Mellah and the gates of the Royal Palace.

Entrance fees are not included. The afternoon will be free for further sightseeing or shopping. You will spend the second night in the same riad.

Day 4

Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

After breakfast, we will travel toward Ifrane and the cedar forest. When conditions permit, we may observe Barbary macaques without feeding or disturbing them.

We will cross the Middle Atlas, travel through the Ziz Valley and pass through Erfoud. Lunch will be at your own expense, and workshop visits are optional. In Merzouga, you will take a camel ride, normally one camel per person, to reach the camp at sunset. A 4×4 transfer may be requested in advance.

Berber tea, dinner, and accommodation are included. The tent category and the availability of a private bathroom will be confirmed in the quote.

Day 5

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Those who wish may watch the sunrise. After breakfast and time to freshen up, we will return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 to rejoin the vehicle.

When the market is open and time permits, we can visit Rissani and experience its traditional atmosphere. We will continue to the Todra Gorge and then through the Dades Valley, the Valley of the Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Lunch will be at your own expense.

Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, visits to Taourirt and the film studios will be optional, depending on the schedule. You will spend the night in a selected hotel or riad, with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 6

Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will visit the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. Entrance fees to paid sites are not included.

We will continue through Telouet, where the interior of the kasbah is optional and depends on road conditions and the schedule. We will cross the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka, with panoramic stops where possible.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Marrakech. You will have free time for an initial visit to the medina before spending the night in a selected riad. Breakfast is included; dinner is at your own expense.

Day 7

Marrakech – Airport Transfer

After breakfast and check-out, the programme will be adapted to your flight schedule. If you have a late departure, you can use the time for last-minute shopping or a leisurely stroll.

Our driver will pick you up for a private transfer to Marrakech airport, allowing sufficient time for traffic and departure procedures. This seven-day tour with Viajes Almoravid will conclude at the terminal.
