Day-by-Day Itinerary<\/h2>\n

Day 1<\/p>\n

Tangier \u2013 Tetouan \u2013 Chefchaouen<\/h3>\n

Upon your arrival, our driver who speaks your language will meet you at Tangier airport or port. We can also arrange pick-up from your accommodation if you are already in the city. The tour will be operated in a private, comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. <\/p>\n

If your arrival time allows, we will stop in Tetouan for a free walk through its white medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and to discover the Hispano-Moroccan influence of the former capital of the Spanish Protectorate. For late arrivals, this visit may be shortened or omitted. <\/p>\n

We will then continue to Chefchaouen, nestled among the Rif Mountains. You will have free time to explore its blue-painted alleyways, squares, artisan shops and viewpoints. You will spend the night in a selected riad in the medina, with breakfast included; dinner will be at your leisure. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 2<\/p>\n

Chefchaouen \u2013 Fez \u2013 visita guiada<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will depart for Fez, travelling through the landscapes of the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, you will meet an official local English-speaking guide to discover the historic medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. <\/p>\n

Depending on the arrival time, opening hours and the group\u2019s pace, the visit may include the Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine, the souks, the tanners\u2019 quarter, the Mellah and the gates of the Royal Palace. Entrance fees are not included and are paid directly. <\/p>\n

After the visit, you will have free time for a walk or shopping. You will spend the night in a selected riad inside or near the medina of Fez, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 3<\/p>\n

Fes \u2013 Ifrane \u2013 Cedar Forest \u2013 Ziz Valley \u2013 Erfoud \u2013 Merzouga \u2013 Erg Chebbi<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will begin a long and varied journey south. We will visit Ifrane, a mountain town located at more than 1,700 metres above sea level, and continue through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. When conditions allow, we may observe Barbary macaques without feeding or disturbing them. <\/p>\n

We will cross the mountains and descend through the Ziz Valley, passing viewpoints, palm groves and arid landscapes. We will pass through Erfoud, known for its fossils and stone workshops. Lunch will be at your leisure and workshop visits are optional. <\/p>\n

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga. A camel ride, usually one camel per person, will take you across Erg Chebbi at sunset to the desert camp. Guests who do not wish to ride may request a 4×4 transfer in advance, subject to the confirmed package. <\/p>\n

At the camp you will enjoy Berber tea, dinner and accommodation. The tent category and availability of a private bathroom and shower will be specified in the quotation. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 4<\/p>\n

Merzouga \u2013 Rissani \u2013 Todra Gorge \u2013 Dades Valley \u2013 Ouarzazate<\/h3>\n

Those who wish may wake up early to watch the sunrise over Erg Chebbi. After breakfast and time to freshen up, we will return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 to rejoin our vehicle. <\/p>\n

When it coincides with a market day and the schedule allows, we may experience the traditional atmosphere of Rissani. We will then continue towards Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, where there will be time to walk between the impressive rock walls. Lunch will be at your leisure. <\/p>\n

The route will continue through the Dades Valley, the Valley of the Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, depending on the time, you may view the Kasbah of Taourirt or optionally visit its interior; any visit to the film studios will also be optional. <\/p>\n

You will spend the night in a selected hotel or riad in Ouarzazate, with dinner and breakfast included.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 5<\/p>\n

Ouarzazate \u2013 Ait Ben Haddou \u2013 High Atlas \u2013 Marrakech<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will visit the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified adobe village declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have time to explore its alleyways and enjoy the views; entrance fees to paid sites are at your own expense. <\/p>\n

We will continue towards the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n\u2019Tichka Pass, at more than 2,200 metres, with panoramic stops whenever weather and road conditions permit. Lunch will be at your leisure during the journey. <\/p>\n

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Marrakech. After dropping you off at the selected riad, you will have free time for a first walk through the medina. You will spend the first of two nights there, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure. Arrival time will depend on traffic, weather and stops. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 6<\/p>\n

Marrakech \u2013 Guided City Tour<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, you will meet an official local English-speaking guide to discover Marrakech. Depending on opening hours and the group\u2019s pace, the visit may include the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna Square. <\/p>\n

Entrance fees to museums and monuments are not included and are paid directly. The guide will adapt the tour to your interests and help you discover the city\u2019s history, architecture and daily life. <\/p>\n

The afternoon will be free to continue exploring, go shopping, discover gardens or enjoy local gastronomy. You will spend the second night in the same riad in Marrakech, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 7<\/p>\n

Marrakech \u2013 Airport Transfer<\/h3>\n

After breakfast and check-out, the programme will be adapted to your flight schedule. If your departure is late, you can use the available time for last-minute shopping or a walk, always keeping the confirmed pick-up time in mind. <\/p>\n

Our driver will collect you from the riad for the private transfer to Marrakech airport, allowing sufficient time for departure formalities and traffic conditions.<\/p>\n

At the terminal, this seven-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech will come to an end. The Viajes Almoravid team will say goodbye, thanking you for your trust and hoping to welcome you again in Morocco. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n
