Day-by-Day Itinerary<\/h2>\n

Day 1<\/p>\n

Marrakech \u2013 High Atlas \u2013 Ait Ben Haddou \u2013 Ouarzazate \u2013 Dades Valley
<\/h3>\n

At the confirmed time, our driver who speaks your language will pick you up at the airport, your accommodation or the exact agreed location in Marrakech. The tour will be carried out in a private, comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle, adapted to the size of the group. From the beginning, you will have the assistance of Viajes Almoravid. <\/p>\n

We will head towards the High Atlas and cross the Tizi n\u2019Tichka Pass, located at more than 2,200 metres above sea level. The road crosses mountain landscapes and Amazigh villages; we will make stops at viewpoints to rest and take photographs. <\/p>\n

On the other side of the Atlas, we will visit the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified adobe complex declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entrance fees to paid areas are optional. After a free lunch, we will continue through Ouarzazate, the Skoura palm grove, the Valley of the Roses and the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs. At the end of the afternoon, we will arrive in the Dades Valley, where dinner will be served and we will spend the night in a selected riad or hotel. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 2<\/p>\n

Dades Valley \u2013 Todra Gorges \u2013 Tinjdad \u2013 Touroug \u2013 Erfoud \u2013 Merzouga<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will continue through the Dades Valley to the Todra Gorges. We will stop to walk between its high rocky walls and admire the canyon formed by river erosion. <\/p>\n

The route will continue through Tinghir and the palm groves of Tinjdad and Touroug before reaching Erfoud, known for its fossils and stone workshops. There will be time for lunch at your own expense during the journey. <\/p>\n

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will leave the vehicle and begin the camel ride, normally one camel per person, to enjoy the sunset and reach the desert camp. Guests who prefer not to ride can request a 4×4 transfer in advance, subject to the confirmed package. <\/p>\n

At the camp, you will enjoy dinner, traditional music when scheduled and a night under the Sahara sky. The category of the tent and the availability of a private bathroom and shower will be clearly specified in the quotation before booking. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 3<\/p>\n

Merzouga \u2013 Rissani \u2013 Ziz Valley \u2013 Middle Atlas \u2013 Ifrane \u2013 Fez
<\/h3>\n

Those who wish may wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and time to freshen up, we will return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, depending on the service booked, and rejoin our private vehicle. <\/p>\n

The first stop will be Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. When it coincides with market day and the schedule allows, we may visit its traditional market. Afterwards, we will travel up the Ziz Valley, among palm groves, mountains and viewpoints, towards the Middle Atlas. <\/p>\n

The route will continue through the cedar forest landscapes and mountain towns. When conditions allow, we will stop in the area to observe the Barbary macaques without feeding or disturbing them. We will also visit Ifrane, famous for its mountain architecture. <\/p>\n

At the end of the day, we will arrive in Fez. The driver will drop you off at the selected riad inside or near the Medina. Accommodation includes breakfast; dinner and entrance fees are not included. This is one of the longest days of the tour and timings may vary depending on road conditions, weather and stops. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 4<\/p>\n

Guided visit of Fez \u2013 Chefchaouen<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, the visit of Fez will begin with an official local Spanish-speaking guide. During the morning, we will discover the historic Medina, its monumental gates, artisan quarters, souks and viewpoints.
Depending on opening times and the group\u2019s preferences, the visit may include the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine University and Mosque, Nejjarine Fountain, Bou Inania Madrasa and the tanners\u2019 quarter. Entrance fees are optional and will be paid directly. <\/p>\n

After a free lunch, we will meet the driver and travel towards Chefchaouen. The journey normally takes between three and a half and four hours, although this may vary depending on traffic and stops. <\/p>\n

Upon arrival in the Blue City, you will have time for a first walk through its whitewashed streets, squares and viewpoints. We will spend the night in a selected riad with breakfast included. Dinner will be at your own expense so that you can choose among the restaurants in the Medina. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Day 5<\/p>\n

Chefchaouen \u2013 Tangier<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, you will have time to continue exploring Chefchaouen at a relaxed pace: Uta el-Hammam Square, the blue alleyways, artisan workshops and viewpoints over the Rif Mountains.<\/p>\n

At the agreed time, we will begin the transfer to Tangier, a journey of approximately two hours. If the departure time, traffic and pace of the group allow, a short stop in Tetouan may be arranged in advance; this cannot be guaranteed if it could affect punctual arrival. <\/p>\n

The tour will end at the airport, port, your accommodation or the exact agreed location in Tangier. This route covers around 1,400 km in five days, making it an intensive journey designed for travellers who wish to combine the desert, Fez, Chefchaouen and northern Morocco in a short time. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n
