Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Tangier – Asilah
Our driver, who speaks your language, will meet you at Tangier Airport or Port and transfer you by private vehicle to Asilah, located less than 50 km away. You will have free time to explore its white medina, Portuguese walls and Atlantic promenade. You will spend the night in a selected riad in the medina, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 2
Asilah – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we will travel to Tetouan. You will have free time to discover its medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its Spanish-Moroccan heritage. We will then continue to Chefchaouen for a first walk through its blue streets and viewpoints. This will be the first of two nights in a selected riad, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 3
Chefchaouen – Free Day
After breakfast, you will have the entire day to discover Chefchaouen at your own pace: the kasbah, the souks, Uta el-Hammam Square, the blue streets and the viewpoints over the Rif Mountains. Entrance fees and optional activities are at your own expense. You will return to the same riad for the second night, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 4
Chefchaouen – Rabat
After breakfast, we will head to Rabat. Upon arrival, you will have free time to discover the Kasbah of the Oudayas, Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the medina, depending on opening hours. Entrance fees are not included. You will spend the night in a selected riad in the historic centre, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 5
Rabat – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we will travel to the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. The entrance fee and any specialised locale guide are not included. We will continue to Meknes, where you can freely discover Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square and the surroundings of the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Fez for the first of two nights in a selected riad, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 6
Fes – Guided City Tour
After breakfast, an official locale Spanish-speaking guide will accompany you through the medina of Fez. The tour may include Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine, the souks, the tanneries, the Mellah and the gates of the Royal Palace. Entrance fees are not included. The afternoon will be free and you will spend the second night in the same riad.
Day 7
Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, we will travel south via Ifrane and the cedar forest, where you may observe Barbary macaques without feeding or disturbing them. We will cross the Middle Atlas, travel through the Ziz Valley and pass through Erfoud; lunch and visits to workshops are optional.
In Merzouga, you will take the camels, normally one per person, to reach the desert camp at sunset. A 4×4 transfer may be requested in advance. Berber tea, dinner and accommodation are included; the category of the tent and the availability of a private bathroom will be confirmed in the quotation.
Day 8
Erg Chebbi – Khamlia – Old Mines – Nomad Families – Merzouga
After sunrise, breakfast and time to freshen up, we will take a 4×4 tour around Erg Chebbi. We will respectfully discover the Gnawa music of Khamlia, old tracks and mining areas, viewpoints over the dunes and, when available, visit a nomad family. Lunch is at your leisure. At the end of the day, you will stay in a selected hotel in Merzouga, with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 9
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we will leave the hotel in Merzouga and head towards Rissani, with a visit to the market when it is open and the schedule allows. We will continue to the Todra Gorges, where you can walk between the canyon walls; lunch is at your leisure.
We will then continue through the Dades Valley, the Valley of the Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate. Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios will be optional visits depending on the schedule. Dinner, breakfast and accommodation are included in a selected hotel or riad.
Day 10
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. Entrance fees to paid sites are not included. We will continue through Telouet, where visiting the interior of the kasbah is optional and will depend on road conditions and the schedule, before crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Marrakech for the first of two nights in a selected riad, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 11
Marrakech – Guided City Tour
After breakfast, an official locale English-speaking guide will accompany you through Marrakech. The tour may include the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna Square.
Entrance fees are not included. The afternoon will be free and you will spend the second night in the same riad.
Day 12
Marrakech – Airport Transfer
After breakfast and check-out, the programme will be adapted to your flight schedule. Our driver will collect you from the riad for your private transfer to Marrakech Airport, allowing sufficient time for traffic and departure formalities.
