Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Casablanca – Rabat
Our driver, who speaks your language, will meet you at the airport, hotel, or agreed-upon point in Casablanca. Depending on the schedule, you may visit the Hassan II Mosque; indoor entry is optional and subject to official opening hours.
Afterward, we will travel to Rabat. You will have free time to explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the medina. Entrance fees are not included. You will spend the night in a selected riad, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 2
Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we will head towards the Rif Mountains and Chefchaouen. You will have free time to explore its famous blue streets, the kasbah, Uta el-Hammam Square, the souks and panoramic viewpoints.
Entrance fees and optional activities are at your own expense. You will spend the night in a selected riad in the medina, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 3
Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we will travel to the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. The entrance fee and any specialised local guide are not included.
We will continue towards Meknes to discover, depending on the schedule, Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square and the surroundings of the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Fez for the first of two nights in a selected riad, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 4
Fes – Guided City Tour
After breakfast, an official local Spanish-speaking guide will accompany you through the medina of Fez. The tour may include Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine, the souks, the tanneries, the Mellah and the gates of the Royal Palace.
Entrance fees are not included. The afternoon will be free for further sightseeing or shopping. You will spend the second night in the same riad.
Day 5
Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, we will travel toward Ifrane and the cedar forest. When conditions permit, we may observe Barbary macaques without feeding or disturbing them.
We will cross the Middle Atlas, travel through the Ziz Valley, and pass through Erfoud. Lunch and workshop visits are optional. In Merzouga, we will take camels—typically one per person—to reach the camp by sunset. A 4x4 transfer may be requested in advance.
Berber tea, dinner, and accommodation are included. The tent category and the availability of a private bathroom will be confirmed in the quote.
Day 6
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
Those who wish to may watch the sunrise. After breakfast and time to freshen up, we will return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 to rejoin the vehicle.
When the market is open and the schedule permits, we can visit Rissani. We will continue to the Todra Gorge and then through the Dades Valley, the Valley of the Roses, and the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs. Lunch will be at your leisure.
Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios will be optional visits. You will spend the night in a selected hotel or riad, with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 7
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. Entrance fees to paid sites are not included.
We will continue through Telouet, where visiting the interior of the kasbah is optional and will depend on road conditions and the schedule. We will cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, making panoramic stops whenever possible.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Marrakech for the first of two nights in a selected riad, with breakfast included and dinner at your leisure.
Day 8
Marrakech – Guided City Tour
After breakfast, an official local Spanish-speaking guide will accompany you through Marrakech. The tour may include the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna Square.
Entrance fees are not included. The afternoon will be free for museums, gardens or shopping. You will spend a second night in the same riad.
Day 9
Marrakech – Airport Transfer
After breakfast and check-out, the programme will be adapted to your flight schedule. Our driver will collect you for your private transfer to Marrakech Airport, allowing sufficient time for traffic and departure formalities.
Your nine-day tour with Viajes Almoravid will end at the airport terminal.
