Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
Upon arrival, our driver who speaks your language will meet you at Tangier airport or port. If you are already staying in the city, we can arrange pick-up from your hotel or another agreed location. The tour will be carried out in a private, comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle.
We will head to Tetouan, known as the White Dove. The city was the capital of the former Spanish Protectorate and preserves an interesting blend of Moroccan and Andalusian influences. You will have time to stroll freely through its historic medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The duration of the visit will depend on your arrival time in Tangier.
We will then continue to Chefchaouen, located among the Rif Mountains. There we will meet an official locale English-speaking guide to explore the blue alleyways of its medina, its squares, artisan shops and panoramic corners. If the arrival time is late, the visit may be adapted or moved to the following morning.
At the end of the day, you will stay in a selected riad in Chefchaouen. Accommodation and breakfast are included; lunch, dinner, drinks and entrance fees are at your own expense.
Day 2
Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we will head south. If any part of the Chefchaouen visit was left unfinished the previous day, we may reserve a short amount of time to complete it before continuing, provided the overall schedule allows.
Our first major stop will be Volubilis, one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be able to explore its ruins, see the Arch of Caracalla, the columns and the preserved mosaics. Entrance fees and any specialist guide inside the archaeological site are not included and will be paid directly.
A few kilometres away is Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. We will stop to see some of its most representative places, depending on the available time and opening hours, such as Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square and the area around the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Lunch will be at your own expense.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Fez. Our driver will drop you off at the selected riad inside or near the medina. This will be the first of two nights in Fez, with breakfast included and dinner at your own expense.
Day 3
Fes – Guided City Tour
After breakfast at the riad, you will meet an official locale English-speaking guide to discover Fez. Its extensive historic medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserves an extraordinary monumental and artisanal heritage.
Depending on opening hours and the pace of the group, the tour may include the Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine University and Mosque, the souks and the traditional craft quarters, especially the famous tanners’ district. Entrance fees to monuments are not included and will be paid directly.
The afternoon will be free to continue discovering the city, visit the Mellah, admire the gates of the Royal Palace, visit museums or shop for handicrafts. The guide can advise you on how to make the most of your time.
In the evening, you will return to the same riad in Fez. Accommodation and breakfast the following morning are included; lunch, dinner and drinks are at your own expense.
Day 4
Fez – Tangier – airport or port
After breakfast and check-out, we will begin the return journey to Tangier in our private vehicle. Departure time will be organised according to the confirmed schedule of your flight or ferry, leaving enough time for the journey and boarding procedures.
When the departure time allows, you may have some free time in Tangier to walk through the medina or visit some of its places of interest. This visit is not guaranteed for early departures and will always be adapted to traffic conditions and the required arrival time at the terminal.
Our driver will take you to Tangier airport or port at the agreed time. This is where the private four-day tour of northern Morocco will come to an end.
