Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou excursion from Marrakech

Early morning

Pick-up in Marrakech – High Atlas – Tizi n’Tichka

At around 7:30, our professional driver who speaks your language will pick you up at your hotel, an accessible riad, or an agreed nearby meeting point in Marrakech.

We will head into the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka road, stopping at panoramic viewpoints when conditions and timing allow. The pass is over 2,200 m above sea level, and the weather may affect the programme, especially in winter.

During the day

Telouet – Ounila Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate region

When access and opening hours allow, we will continue to the Kasbah of Telouet, also known as the Glaoui Kasbah. Entry inside and a possible locale guide are optional and paid separately.

The route will continue through the landscapes of the Ounila Valley to the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have time to explore the village, admire its adobe architecture and have lunch in the area. Lunch, admission to paid sites and the locale guide are not included.

Depending on the time available, we may continue to Ouarzazate for a panoramic stop or optionally visit the Kasbah of Taourirt or the film studios. As this is a one-day excursion, the driver will coordinate with the group on priority visits to ensure a safe return journey.

Afternoon and evening

Ouarzazate region – High Atlas – Marrakech

In the afternoon we will begin the return journey, crossing the High Atlas again. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the evening, although the exact time will depend on traffic, stops and the condition of the mountain road.

We will drop you off at your accommodation or at the agreed accessible point, bringing this private excursion to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou with Viajes Almoravid to an end.
