Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Casablanca – Rabat
Our Spanish-speaking driver welcomes you at Casablanca airport, hotel or agreed location. According to timing, there may be an optional interior visit of Hassan II Mosque. We then travel to Rabat for free time at the Oudayas, Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum and medina. Admission is not included. Overnight in a selected riad, with breakfast included.
Day 2
Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast we travel to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. The day is free for its blue lanes, kasbah, Uta el-Hammam square, souks and viewpoints. Admission and optional activities are not included. Overnight in a selected medina riad, with breakfast included.
Day 3
Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast we visit Roman Volubilis; admission and any specialist guide are not included. We continue to Meknes for Bab Mansour and El Hedim square, then reach Fez for the first of two selected riad nights, with breakfast included.
Day 4
Fez – guided city visit
An official Spanish-speaking local guide leads the Fez medina visit, potentially including Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine, souks, tanneries, Mellah and Royal Palace gates. Admission is not included. The afternoon is free, followed by a second night in the same riad.
Day 5
Fez – Ifrane – cedar forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
We travel south through Ifrane, the cedar forest, Ziz Valley and Erfoud. Lunch and workshop visits are optional. A camel ride, normally one per traveller, reaches camp at sunset; a pre-arranged 4x4 alternative is available. Berber tea, dinner and accommodation are included, with tent category and private facilities confirmed in the quotation.
Day 6
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
After sunrise, breakfast and time to freshen up, we return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. We continue through Rissani, when timing and market opening allow, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, Rose Valley and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Lunch is at your own expense; Taourirt and film studios are optional. Dinner, breakfast and accommodation are included in Ouarzazate.
Day 7
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast we visit Ait Ben Haddou. Paid entrances are not included. We continue via Telouet, whose kasbah interior is optional and subject to road conditions and timing, then cross Tizi n’Tichka. In the afternoon we reach Marrakech for the first of two selected riad nights.
Day 8
Marrakech – guided city visit
An official Spanish-speaking local guide leads the Marrakech visit, potentially including the exterior of Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, souks and Jemaa el-Fna. Admission is not included. The afternoon is free, followed by a second night in the same riad.
Day 9
Marrakech – airport transfer
After breakfast and check-out, the programme is adapted to the flight time. The driver provides a private transfer to Marrakech airport with sufficient time for traffic and departure formalities. The nine-day Viajes Almoravid journey ends at the terminal.
